Today the girls showed some excellent progress in their individual and collective team play. The decision making by the girls was outstanding, with intelligent decision making and awareness of when to pass the ball and when to stay on the ball and progress forward. The array of passing by the girls today was delightful to watch, with long balls forwards from the back to the striker to penotrate the back line and create opportunity to strike, impressive crosses fired from out wide to the feet of the team mate on the far side of the opposition penalty box and quick short combination passes to move the ball on and retain possession. Excellent Team Play - Well Done Girls!!

Ruby Smith was outstanding as she twisted, turned, feinted and dribbled with the ball through the opposition before lifting her head and playing a precision pass to set up her team mate, or firing home to score herself.

Ayala Blight moved quickly to try and find space ahead of the ball and create opportunity. In defence she pressed the ball quickly.

Libby Carrick was alert and tenacious in trying to win the ball, her confidence to control, turn and shoot first time rewarded with some great goals.

Amy Forshaw contribution to retain possession was excellent, looking to move the ball forward quickly and deliberately. In front of goal she had the confidence to take a touch and place the ball past the goal keeper

Cate Johnson was strong in her defending as she tried to hold off the opposition as she looked to play forward or run with the ball.

Willow Malin was alert and quick to react to the treat and deny the opportunity through good positioning and safe goal keeping
