After the young referees at central venues went on strike earlier this month, Ponteland United is joining the campaign to stop referee abuse.

Anybody who insults, abuses or behaves improperly towards a match official will be asked to leave our home fixtures.

We ask that all parents, spectators, players and coaches to keep their comments encouraging and upbeat. So before you head out to watch your son or daughter play this weekend, stop and think.
