Tomorrow Pont First Team travel to Purvis Park NE20 6HS, home of Percy Main in the final game of a disrupted season due to COVID-19. The league for the second season running was brought to a premature close but the league's management committee decided to end the season with the Tyne Valley Carpets Divisional Cups revamped in a Champions League style format.

Although Pont had a good win in their first game of the competition against league leaders AFC Killingworth when the league season stopped results since have been disappointing. Although neither Pont nor Main will contest the semi finals they did share the spoils 1 - 1 at Pont earlier this month and both teams will be looking to sign off the season with a victory.

Unfortunately under current guidelines spectators are not allowed to attend.

Last month there was a possibility that tomorrow's game could be the last for Percy Main when they tendered their resignation to the league. However all the footballing community in the North East were delighted to hear that the club has since withdrawn its resignation and now plans for the future.
