Battling Barca just fall short
In the proverbial game of two halves Barca just came up short against a strong Walker Central outfit in a hard fought encounter at Complete Football.
For the first two quarters of the game Walker completely bossed the game and only a strong performance from Joseph Nicholson and hard work from his defensive partner Wesley Lesingiran prevented Walker from completely running away with the game in the first twenty minutes. The boys in white were first to ever ball and looked very much like a team who looked prepared and ready to play unlike the boys in blue.
After gifting the first twenty minutes away Barca finally woke up as Jamie Grant began to show great form down the right wing and combined well with Joseph Clark and Ryan Armijo to threaten the Walker defence on a regular basis. With Omar Tumai looking much more effective in a defensive role the Barca team began to play like they can and Ryan Armijo shot home to give Barca a lifeline.
Barca played better in the fourth quarter with Beni Ayuk going close from the left wing. As time ran out Ryan Armijo almost snatched the equaliser, but to be fair this would have been harsh on Walker who fully deserved the victory after their dominant performance.
