First of all credit to Wallsend Valencia. They are a good mini soccer team who always look to get the ball down and play nice passing football, have some great players and I am sure they are a far better footballing team now than when the season started.
We have played some great football at times throughout the season so far. However in this game we could only stand and admire the quality of passing, movement and one and two touch football that PSG displayed this evening. This wasn't a surprise as the boys already have these qualities in their locker.
We could go on and on describing the game in every detail but we will just summarise each goal.
1-0 Jake received the ball on the right and unselfishly delivered a perfect cross for Tom to side foot home.
2-0 Great one touch passing by Will S and Liam who played it into Jake to finish superbly.
3-0 Jakes header cannoned off the post and the ball fell to Will S who swivelled and drilled it into the net.
4-0 From defence to attack Sam played in Will S who fired it in superbly off the post.
HALF TIME
5-0 Corner not cleared by Wallsend and the ball fell to Will S who turned and fired home from within the box.
6-0 Unbeliveable feet and skills by Tom S who unselfishly played it into Sam who cooly finished from the edge of the box.
7-0 Will S picked up the ball in defence and played in Liam who drew the keeper towards him and slid it to Tom to finsh from close range in a very swift move.
Wallsend's goalkeeper was superb all night and denied PSG on several occassions and deservedly got Wallsend's man of the match award.
With regard to PSG's man of the match, here goes:-
Will B - Great handling from crosses and corners
Ben - Solid in defence and distribution superb
Sam - Mr. Cool had another awesome game in defence and midfield
Lucas - Once again showed energy, strength and determination to ensure his team kept a clean sheet.
Liam - Unlucky not to score but again a few assists, unbeliveable workrate and and fine display on the right and upfront.
Jake - The General yet again dominated the centre of the park and linked up play from defence to attack whilst showing what a talented and unselfish player he is where he was constantly looking for his team mates.
Tom - His skills on the left and when he has the ball at his feet and running at defences is a terrifying sight for the opposition. His vision and crossfield balls were fantastic.
Will S - We all know how good he is in front of goal but a massive factor in this game was his workrate, hold up play and bringing his team mates into the game.
Thanks to all the Wallsend officials and the referee (Steve Leggett) for their compliments on the way we played football and a special thank you to the parents of the Wallsend boys for their kind comments on the boys display.
