Lokomotiv finished the season in style with a great win against Bedlington Lightning.

Loko were looking to get a well deserved win against an evenly matched Bedlington team and playing with Harry in midfield and Jonny in defence they took the lead with a well taken goal by Tris. Ben had to be at his best to keep Lightning out at the other end but the boys looked solid & composed.

Tom doubled the lead after racing down the left and thumping the ball into the top corner and it wasn't long before Loko's dominance became 3-0. Harry, letting the ball drop on the edge of the box, volleyed a perfect shot into the roof of the net. At this point Loko were looking good - Jonny and Matthew's composure at the back stablising the whole team. 

The second half began with Lighting taking the game to Loko. They pressed hard forcing Ben, now defending, into some brave tackles. Ollie worked down the right of midfield to help his over-worked defence and Adam and Daniel took turns in defending from the front but it wasn't long before the pressure told and Bedlington were back in it with a goal.

More pressure, this time from a corner, lead to a stunning header and Lightning were just a goal behind. Harry was pushed intoi a more defensive role, conserving his energy, and Loko rode out the storm. Tris continued to threaten up from & it wasn't long before the boys reclaimed a two goal lead when Tom turned in a goal mouth scramble to make the final score 4-2.

A brilliant game to end the season on a high. All the boys ran their hearts out. The defence was as solid as it has ever been, the midfield passed & battled and the 2 front lads worked their socks off.
