This game was played in a funny manor, a few of the Pont's players played for West Dentons Sunday team at the beginning of this season, so we knew this was going to be a hard battle and a differcult game. Pont played thier way "Simply" football across the park, West Denton tried to break us down but Ponts Strentgh in going forward was a pleasure to watch. Dentons stand in keeper made some great saves, we just needed that 1 goal to settle us down. Pont pick up a Free Kick 25 yards out...Lewis Kernon steps up, the keepers at full stretch struggles to hold it, "GOAL" Pont go 1 up.
Attack after attack Pont push on and on...Pont gain a corner its defended well by Denton, but Alex Foreman collects 10 yards out, controls and hits it, the lads all run away screaming "Goal'... the parents on this side dont respond we all think side netting but who can disagree with 11 Pont players and a referee. 2-0 and 10 minutes to goal, same again Pont defender strongly and attacker stronger the final whistle wont be long will it.....tackles fly in lads are battling for every ball.
Yes final whistle, a few bumps and bruises but a WELL DESERVED WIN for the Pumas.
