We struck the North Shields cross bar three times and had a perfectly good goal chalked off when an over enthusiastic home linesman flagged for offside, but overall we failed to hit the high standards we have set ourselves this season. Our passing was too often wayward and we were second to the ball at times, all of which allowed a nervous looking North Shields settle into their game.
No game last Saturday clearly did us no favours plus having lost four players to the first team and Phil to suspension meant we looked a bit unsettled. We will get back into our stride next Saturday.
