The dawn of a new era for women’s football at Ponteland United has finally come. After several years of development, we would like to present the proposals for our first ever PUFC Women’s Football Strategy. The strategic plan is intended to shape the future of the women’s game at Ponteland United.

The plan, for an initial four-year period, will set out aspirations to see us through to the 2021-2025 season. The plan is a shared commitment to continue to develop girls and women’s football at Ponteland United, starting from the very beginnings of our grassroots pathways and our SEE Wildcats Development Centre (5yrs-11yrs), right through to our competitive junior teams and beyond. Our ambition to see a Ponteland United Women’s Team reach new heights and success within the Women’s league structure.

With the slogan #TakingOurPlace, the strategy represents the emergence of Ponteland United as a strong presence in the girls/female game and will herald in a new era and a new identity for the women’s game at Ponteland United. Our slogan will serve as a reference for the promotion and development of the Women’s game and will be a call to arms for the future success and sustainability of the female game.
